The Christmas Cantata will be presented in the morning service on Sunday, December 20.

CHRISTMAS PARTY

You are invited to be a part of the annual Christmas party to be held on Sunday, December 20 at 6 PM. There will be no regular evening service on this evening. Also the choir will not have choir practice on this evening.

CANDLELIGHT SERVICE

Join us on Thursday evening, December 24 at 7 PM to celebrate Christmas Eve with a candlelight service. There will be no Wednesday evening service on December 23.

ATTENTION COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN

The annual reports for each committee is due in the church office by Sunday, December 6. All committees (Elder, Deacon, C.E., Trustee, Missions, Deaconess, Alliance Women, Alliance Men) need to submit an annual report to be view at our annual meeting on January 10, 2010.

DEACONESS OUTREACH

The deaconess committee will be collecting for needed families as an outreach of FBC. Please consider giving to help these families. Items that are needed are nonperishable food, paper goods, hygiene items or you may make a cash donation so that fresh produce, meats or other perishable items may be purchased. We will be collecting for the next two weeks, so bring your items as soon as possible.

FUNDRAISER

AK4M will be hosting a yard sale on Saturday, November 14 from 8 AM-Noon. The kids are raising funds to send John & Lisa Sappia’s children Christmas presents. We are accepting any donations you can supply for this yard sale. Thanks in advance for your help with this special love offering from our children to missionary children.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

It is time again to start filling those shoe boxes with gifts. The collection date is Sunday, Nov. 15. Please remember when you are shopping to look for small gifts such as toys, coloring books, pens, pencils, crayons, hair bows, toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, socks, shirts, hard candies, etc. For many of these children this is the only gift they will receive, so start filling those boxes now.

CHRISTMAS CHOIR

Anyone interested in participating in the Christmas Choir should plan to attend Choir practice at 5:15 PM starting today. This is an excellent way to “try out” the Choir.

CHILDREN’S CHOIR

All children are invited to join us at 6 PM in the choir room, for Children’s choir practice. We will meet every Sunday evening with the exception of the third Sunday of the month.

FOOD DONATIONS

Please remember to bring food, paper goods, baby items, hygiene items, etc for those families in our area that in need of assistance. Also, bring brown paper grocery bags that will be used to sort food. You may bring your donations to FBC or drop them off at the Lake Area Ministries office. You may also make a cash donation to LAM. Thank you for your donations to help these needy families.

REUNION GOSPEL JAM

Northeast Florida Alliance Women Area Rally will held Saturday, September 12th from 10 AM to 1 PM right here at Friendship Bible Church. Kiersten Hull, missionary from Burkino Faso will be the speaker. A salad buffet will be served in the fellowship hall. The price for lunch is $8.00. Please plan to attend this event to hear from Kiersten and to fellowship with other ladies from our area. KIDS FIRST OF FLORIDA

At this time there is a shortage of foster and adoptive parents in the Clay county area. KFF is tasked with finding the most appropriate placement for the children in our care, and we work hard to find forever families for every child. Commission Service

Gordon & Pat Swenson are heading back to Indonesia. They are returning to a country they were missionaries in for 25 years. God has blessed them to return for 2 more years.

On Sunday, Aug. 16th, during the morning worship we'll be "Comissioning" them for service on the mission field.

Following the service there will be a covered dish supper. Please come and enjoy this wonderful time of sharing God's love here in Keystone Heights and through the Swensons to Indonesia as well.

Lake Area Ministries

We at LAM are thankful for the community's support of time, money, food and paper bags. These are items that we continue to use daily. Recently we have had a greater need for hygeine products, such as toothpaste, shampoo, toothbrushes, soap, etc...If you travel and collect individual size bottles, your donation of the these products would allow us to put small kits together for our clients. Any items donated would be gladly accepted and passed on to those in need. LAM continues to be busy, and your donations of coats and blankets were very popular during the cold snaps in the last few months. We will continue to have need of coats and blankets through March. Thank you.

Lake Swan Camp Presents...


ALL Church Sunday lunch on the third Sunday of each month. Come and fellowship with other families throughout the area from 11am-2pm. Easter Cantata Rehearsal


Rehearsal for the Easter cantata will be at 5pm each Sunday afternoon. Those who wish to participate in the Easter program are encouraged to meet with us in the choir room.

Sunday School



The ladies Sunday school class will be starting a Beth Moore,bible study called, Believing God. Jodi Geiger is the class facilitator and you can purchase a book from her.

A.W.A.N.A. Grand Prix

The church family is invited to join in the fun of the Grand Prixon Wednesday, Feb11,at 6:30pm. Come and help cheer these chlildren on as they race their cars down the track. This is an exciting night, please come and support them.

Home Missions update

Our Home Missions presentation has been rescheduled. The date will be Sunday, March 15 in the morning service. Our speaker will be Brian Shore.

Volunteers Needed

Volunteers are needed to make a meal for the youth group on Wednesday evening. We only need this meal for one time a month. You aren't asked to do it every month. If you are able to help in this way please contact Jeff Kirtley. Suggestions for meals: Spagetti, pizza, tacos, etc...

Worship Concert


Please mark your calendar for January 23, 2009, Friday at 6:30pm. The Murdock Baptist Church choir and worship team will be coming for the special event. The following morning, Saturday, January 24,they will be offering a Worship Workshop at 8:30am. All choir & worship team members are encouraged to attend this event.

Housing Needed

We are in need of housing for the choir and worship team that will be with us on Friday evening, January 23. There will be approxiamately 44 people in the group. If you are able to provide housing for some of this group, please see Elizabeth Cook.
