American Heritage Girls

We had our 3rd American Heritage Girls meeting at Friendship Bible Church this past Thursday. We meet every Thursday at 6:15pm.

We started our meetings as usual with the AHG pledge, the pledge alligence to the United States of America flag, song and prayer. The girls have already learned their American Heritage Girls pledge after only 3 meetings.
Miss Linda and the older girls made clay model volcanos. To go along with our series on geology. The hands on activities keep the girls interested.

It's Rachel Crawford's turn to stir the pot, while Kristen Conger waits for her turn. The girls took turns stirring the homemade clay made with baking soda and some other ingredients.
Miss Linda taught the girls about about the 3 kinds of volcanos. She also brought a jar of real volcano ash in a jar for the girls to pass around and see.

Please join us and bring your daughter next Thursday at Friendship Bible Church (473-2713) at 6:15pm. Our meetings end approximately at 8:00pm.

If you would like to help, please bring items and leave them on or under the table provided in the foyer. Also, remember to ask for paper bags when you purchase groceries and please bring those to LAM for distribution. Thank you.
