American Heritage Girls
We had our 3rd American Heritage Girls meeting at Friendship Bible Church this past Thursday. We meet every Thursday at 6:15pm.
Miss Linda and the older girls made clay model volcanos. To go along with our series on geology. The hands on activities keep the girls interested.
It's Rachel Crawford's turn to stir the pot, while Kristen Conger waits for her turn. The girls took turns stirring the homemade clay made with baking soda and some other ingredients.
Miss Linda taught the girls about about the 3 kinds of volcanos. She also brought a jar of real volcano ash in a jar for the girls to pass around and see.
Please join us and bring your daughter next Thursday at Friendship Bible Church (473-2713) at 6:15pm. Our meetings end approximately at 8:00pm.

Food Drive
Our church will be collecting non-perishable foods to be distributed to needy families through Lake Area Ministries. There is an enormous need for food at this time. The shelves at LAM are very low. If you would like to help, please bring items and leave them on or under the table provided in the foyer. Also, remember to ask for paper bags when you purchase groceries and please bring those to LAM for distribution. Thank you.

Operation Christmas Child
This Christmas you can share the hope and love of Jesus Christ with a needy child in a country like Uganda or El Salvador by using a simple shoe box. Operation Christmas child is an easy missions project that every member and family can participate in by bringing a gift filled shoe box to the church in the next few weeks. Complete details are outlined in the Operation Christmas child brochure. Please bring your packed shoe boxes to the church on or before November 17th. Thank you.

New Office Hours at the church
Starting Friday October 10th the church office will be closed on Fridays. This change reflects a change in Pastor Coleman's days off. Instead of being Thursday and Saturday, the new days are Friday and Saturday. Also note that all announcements for the bulletin should be the office by Thursday morning.
