We'll be holding a Congregational Meeting on Sunday, November 11 following the Morning service.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

Toy & School Supply Donations needed: School supplies such as pencil sharpeners (They have plenty of pencils), notepads/notebooks. Foam ball, Stuffed Animals, Toy cars, Slinky, Small Etch a Sketch, Interactive toys with lights and sounds (include batteries), Play cars/trucks/boats, Plastic Tools, Plastic animals. Shoebox dedication is November 11, 2018. We’ll also be taking donations for the packing party you can speak to Elizabeth Cook for further details

Church Security Planning and Intruder Awareness Training

There will be a Church Security and Intruder Response Training conference @ Friendship Bible Church on Friday, November 16 from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm and on Saturday, November 17 from 8:00 am - 2:30 pm We’ll address key topics including: • Approaching suspicious or armed individuals • Armed vs. unarmed security • Creating a culture of awareness • Intruder response • Lockdown • Medical response • Nursery security • Offering collection, protection, and transport • Protecting the pastor • Recognizing suspicious behavior • The role of ushers, greeters and other team members • Verbal conflict management & de-escalation • Volunteer selection The Church Security Planning and Intruder Awareness training will equip your staff and key volunteers to create a personalized security plan that protects your congregation while maintaining a welcoming environment. You can choose from a 1- or 2-day option, but both days are recommended and the subjects interrelate. Recommended: Bring note-taking materials.

CONCERT ON THE GRASS

The Concert on the Grass event will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 7:00PM-9:30PM, at the Friendship Bible Recreation Field, to support local ministry, Operation Barnabas. A combat Veteran founded non-profit foundation committed to assisting fellow Veterans and First Responders with PTSD. This concert is FREE and open to the community. A love offering will be taken to support our highlighted ministry. Guest speaker: Osee Fagan. SAVE-THE-DATE

HEALING SERVICE

On Sunday, October 28th, 10:30AM, our worship service will focus on Prayer, Praise & Healing. Please place your prayer request cards in the offering plate, trusting Jesus “Who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases.” Psalm 103:3

The 5th Sunday Social @ Friendship is on Sunday, July 29, 2018, following the morning service. Please bring a covered dish or 2 to share.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

VBS @ Friendship Bible Church, 6:30PM-8:30PM Sunday, July 29th, through Thursday, August 2nd, 2018 Theme: SonWorld, this year’s VBS is all about kids making good choices. Based on Joshua 24:15, this is SonWorld Adventure Park where kids will discover that choosing Jesus is the ticket to the best ride of their lives. At SonWorld Adventure Park, there’s no height requirement, the lines are short and everyone gets a good view of the parade. But hold onto your hats, because it’s sure to be a life-changing ride!

THANKSGIVING SUNDAY

November 19th, 2017 “An Old Fashioned Thanksgiving” at Friendship Bible Church, 10:30AM. We will be having an outside service at the Recreation Side Luncheon to follow, meat & drinks provided by church, please bring a covered side dish or 2 to share There will be no Sunday school November 19th.

CHILI COOK-OFF

Let’s celebrate Fall on October 29th at our 5th Sunday Social with a Chili Cook-off! Enter your favorite chili and prizes will be awarded by specially selected judges. Not everyone wants to make or eat chili so we would also like some delicious pots of soup as well. For those of you who can’t or don’t cook, sides and desserts are also needed. A sign-up sheet with a list of sides needed will be passed. Please be sure to enter your name there if you are entering chili or bringing any soup or sides. Thank you!

The American Heritage Girls are holding a Pancake Breakfast & Silent Auction Fundraiser @ Friendship on Saturday, November 5th from 8:00AM - 12:00PM. Tickets available for purchase $3.00 from AHG members and the church office (Age 3 and under FREE)

ALLIANCE WOMEN

Saturday, November 12th we’re hosting a booth at the Waldo Flea Market. Our goal is to raise funds for our two married missionary students. If you are interested in helping we’re asking for volunteers to operate the booth, hand-made items, baked goods, jellies, jams, etc. All proceeds will be divided equally between the Bunch’s and Epps.
